I work from the belief that we are all the authors of our lives. When we change our stories, we change our lives.

As a clinician, I strive to help you cultivate the awareness and motivation needed to improve your wellbeing. I see you as the expert in your life and ask questions to help you understand yourself. I seek to highlight your strengths and resources to address your concerns, while I offer perspective from the field of psychology.

In therapy, I integrate techniques related to narrative, emotion-focused, and solution-focused brief therapy. We'll explore the nature and function of identified problems and potential underlying needs. We will also process your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors related to your problems and needs. Then we will develop new strategies to help you work toward your therapeutic goals.

I have a doctorate in psychology from the University of St. Thomas with research experience in offering culturally responsive care. I welcome examining the way issues such as race, ethnicity, culture, gender, class, ability-level, religion, size, and other identities affect therapy and life. I work with teens and adults offering trauma-informed, individual therapy, group counseling, and writing interventions to support a broad range of issues related to mental health including anxiety, depression, identity development, life transitions, neurodevelopmental issues, and grief and loss. I practice under supervision and am working toward a license as a psychologist.
