Life will always offer new challenges. We can create meaning in how we choose to respond.
I began my career as a chaplain and therapist in 2011 working in the VA Health System. Since then, I have supported individuals and families making meaning of trauma, grief, loss, spirituality, pain, anxiety, and relational conflict in a variety of contexts. My clinical work is focused on caring for professionals (veterans, physicians, lawyers, first responders, organizational leaders) that are navigating the challenges of balancing family life alongside experiences of moral injury and burnout.
To supplement my training in chaplaincy and marriage and family therapy, I have completed advanced degrees in public health (MPH) and Health Services Research (PhD). I hold positions at the University of Minnesota and the VA where I develop and implement well-being interventions for people working in complex systems.
